Hi, this is Dianne and this is my very first attempt at writing a blog. So please bare with me on this one.
I’m chatting to you today about “Altering“. Definition: To make different without changing into something else. I had been scrapbooking for quite some time when I started making more cards then spending time making my pages. So needless to say, I’ve fallen behind a few years with my scrapbooks. I discovered altering and boy oh boy, I must say, I love that the most. I’ve only just discovered it perhaps a year ago. Now it seems that it’s all I do.
Paper and ribbon, flowers and buttons and you can’t forget die cuts and stamps. Use it all, or just a few but you make something totally unique out of something that’s just laying around the house. It could be an old shoe box, a soup tin, a little jewelery box or even that plastic measuring cup for your liquid laundry detergent. It could be many things. All takes is an idea.
We’ve got all you need here at “Cherish The Thought” to make all your projects a piece of art. There are already a few altered pieces around the store that were created for you to see the potential in anything. Come on in and take a look.
